Education

As the mankind evolved, the needs of one kept on changing their positions across the pyramid and lately, we have seen education as the foremost priority of people across the globe. Right from early childhood education to elementary schools and institutions of higher education; it’s an area of special emphasis where a lot of efforts and resources have been put in. All because of the firm belief that education is the only power that could help a nation guarantee a secure and sustainable future.

But that still is half of the fact, which may sound too opinionated but having a sneak peek into education systems and their stakeholders would reveal a glimpse of what this regime has actually brought. Starting from the agricultural age till the industrial age, and today the information age; we can sight at the system serving its beneficiaries. To say the least, the assembly system was a requirement of the factories which had to have people who could gather on a whistle or work and even rest up as commanded.

Our vision for the education reforms comprises of the following areas:

  • Education for building an Altruistic Society
  • Changing Mindsets
  • Creating Balance between all Social Classes
  • Inculcating a sense of Civic Responsibilities
  • Social Harmony, Social Cohesion & Social Integration
  • Peace & Prosperity
  • Building Bridges
  • Tolerance & Acceptance

We believe that working in this direction can only bring such a change that is required for a secure and sustainable future for Pakistan. Under a team of distinguished researchers, we aim to work on the policy matters while having our groundwork prepared to move ahead in this direction while having the relevant stakeholders on board which in this case is the immediate student, their parents and the teachers.

United we can shape up a system that would not hinder our children from learning and won’t limit them from questioning. We dream of a land where they could be creative; exploring possibilities that today seem far-fetched to them. Because having a scientist does not require a science class with hard core formula being taught but a lab that offers freedom to make and break and let it all happen until the creative and curious minds find that they are destined to make great things happen.

Time changed and we witnessed information age replacing the industrial age, hence, requirements of the human capital changed accordingly. People who could be a part of system to serve the sole purpose of centralization of resources were required who could actually believe that their individual growth is subject to contribute towards the gigantic groups who seem to be value centric on the surface. Skill-set started to fade and monotony took over creativity. Most professions came out of a rhetorical set of contents labelled as curriculum and today as we see, we have doers not thinkers.

Under Envision Pakistan, we strive to bring educational reforms and work in several related areas including curriculum development to nurture a generation that could actually think and question instead of listening and following what they are told. That too, while complying with the values that build the character. Because being connected with the roots is as important as blossoming up.
